Their slogan is 'Urban Barbeque'. As the waitress brings your "house Lillie's Q brew" in a mason jar (in Matt's case, a PBR in a 'tall' flimsy aluminum can) you begin to sense the metro-chill vibe, which Ryan described as "counterproductive". Matt complained, "Where's the fat redneck tellin' huntin' stories".

The Southern Style Pulled Pork Sandwich was a much less confusing aspect of the restaurant. A bit of smokiness, a bit of sweetness, with a buttery toasted bun sitting proudly atop a fresh crispy bed of coleslaw was literally the recipe for a flavor-augmented-headrush followed by a serious need for a hammock..

Dom had suggested the sweet potato fries, which complimented the sandwich very nicely and were even better when dipped in the house ranch sauce.

Overall: 3.75 of 5

wow! way to make your roommates sound like douche bags!

I was only commenting that the usual patrons of good bbq joint in southern illinois are camo’ed out rednecks, not the uber nerds we sat next to. Anyway…

You missed something dollar sign cent sign!! What about those fried pickles!?? Those were pretty money!! overall better than smoke daddy but still not as good as smoque.
